It’s like Fantasy Island–but with zombies!

walkingdead

I have to say, when Robert Kirkman’s The Walking Dead was first released I was a bit skeptical on the storyline.  The artwork was black and white, and among other things it seemed dangerously close to the 28 days later plot line.  Fortunately I continued reading the issues as they were released and the storyline unfolded into a deep and well written world where I often found myself pondering what I would do in that situation.

New Halo movie!–wait, its just a damn phone?

As most of you have witnessed, Samsung has tossed another commercial out for the Galaxy S with a very familiar face. Anyone else think it shameful of Samsung to blatantly steal Master Chief from the halo franchise?

This brings me to the only conclusion, Microsoft and/or Bungie does not really care if someone steals their baby. So I see a future similar to Starwars. IF they don’t bring legal opposition to Samsung for obviously stealing the Chief, does that mean that anyone can do it without getting sued? Tell us your thoughts.

Scott Pilgrim 0 – The World 1

Well it looks like the world is kicking Scott Pilgrim in the balls over and over and over.  Despite being a great movie that has excellent reviews all around, not many have gone to see this brilliant piece of cinema.  So far it has only grossed $20.7 mil to date,  and is in last in most charts and is being beaten by the same old crap as always: The Expendables, Vampires Suck and Eat, Pray, Love (gag).

Its so sad that a movie that takes such chances with both story and cinematography is doing so badly.  The movie is filled with video game and comic book references and it does them all right.  From the expression-filled words that float on the screen, to the baddies that turn into coins that the characters collect once the fight is over.

If you have downloaded this movie and loved it please go see it so more movies like this will be made in the future.  I’m not sure about you, but I’m sick of re-makes, and re-makes of re-makes.  Unless we send a message to the studios, that we like movies like Scott Pilgrim, and we want more of them, we should prepare for a future of the same story told the same way but with a different lead for the next decade or so.
